Default Cabela's TrailGear 2 Rooftop Carrier

Considering the purchase of this rack...66x39x6 for $99 on sale rite now; normal price is $150 and shipping is free. Anyone have any 1st hand info on this rack? Closest Cabela's is 100 miles away so no way for me to get a look at one. Cabela's TrailGear 2 Rooftop Carrier : Cabela's

Well for what it's worth, it looks like identical build construction as the Thule rack I use to have. Fit the Blazer roof perfect IMO. Mine had a similar black plastic wind deflector, I had just removed it to mount my light bar inside the rack.

Arrives today...I like the look on yours, and yes it looks the same to me also. Have been watching for sales on led lights for lwst 4 weeks or so and have about 40 inches of lights to install. Got motor, tranny and xfer case in over my last days off...wiring harness, a/c, alt and pwr steering are all thats left engine wise, front clip and some painting are left after body lift. I am so close to finally being done.[QUOTE]

the one I have there is a 42 and it was a little wide, it hung out of the sides of the rack lol, a 40 would have probably been perfect

I almost made a comment... then looked at the date, and decided to write this.....

Although it still isn't that old... wonder if the Capt is still responding... and if so, hows hes made with his jungle flares...

The current price on the rack is $119.00. I'm tempted to order one for my truck based on the comments above.
