Ok here is mine.
4 KC 100w long range daylighters and a pair of blazers from autozone, and two driving lights as aux backup lights.

I don't have a relay in mine and have never had a problem. I have them grounded on the front bumper and two positive wires that merge into one with an in-line fuse that runs to a toggle switch in the dash. The toggle switch is grounded under the steering wheel and the positive goes to the fuse box in the side of the dash. What are the potential risks?

Fire, if your wire is too small, which, to be honest, is also a risk if you run a relay with too small of wire. It also takes the power running through the switch down drastically, which reduces risk as well.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. My wires are like 18awg so I should probably get a relay inline...
#16
Yeah 18awg is fine for activating the relay, but I would definetly get some thicker wire from the fuse box to the relay, from the relay to the lights, and from the lights to ground.

Heres a pic with my lights all on at full blast, sucks when i do have them all on since it instantly becomes a bug magnet lol
