Default Clear corners, need some help.

I ordered a set of clear corners off of ebay. I tried to instal them but they will not work. The flange that the bulb mates to is to long and does not allow the locking tang to engage. Here is a picture of the stock unit and the aftermarket piece. Any one ever run into this before? Any help would be appreciated.

Do not have experience with them, but it looks like the tang is long enough, but the hole for the bulb is too long. Looks like you may be able to cut it down some and allow the bulb to engage in the locking tang as you put it.

I agree tripleblack. There may be some issues with that as inside of the socket there is segmented teeth. I would have to be carefull if I made the cut because I would have to re-adhere the top of the socket to the part that was cut off. I could do it, but if there was an aftermarket set that would fit correctly, I would much rather go with that. Any input guys? Has anyone else had clear corners that fit with no mods? O yeah, its a 99 blazer.

I`m sure their made in outter Mongolia right.... Gotta love aftermarket Junk, I honestly would return them to the seller and leave them feedback that says parts do not fit vehicle and was mislead by the ad for the lights.... And when ya get your $ back from them I can custom paint your orig set of turn lenses... I`m doing a set of taillights for someone now on the forum here.. and when hes ready i`m doin the fronts also..I can send ya pics of my front turn signals if your interested..

They were actually very good about it. They responded promptly and offered to split the return shipping. You have to give them credit for that. 2002XTREME, I would like to see some of your work. Let me know what you are thinking.

I had the same problem. Being in New Zealand it was not possible to return for credit. In any case I guess all others on e-bay would probably be the same. After all they're made in Taiwan & if identical I guess they'd infringe copyright issues.
What I did was cut off the inner tabto allow the lamp to swing intoposition & then screwed it through the billet grille.

The turn bulb fits & does not appear to present a problem iro the longer neck.

It did work 2002. Those look pretty cool. You do some good work. I would like to see those in clears instead of the yellow.
