well theres been lots of discussions on them man if you search it up you'll see
I personally think its worth it, I like mine and alot of guys on here figured out that you can buy that cheap CAI on ebay and put on the K&N filter, which is way cheaper than buying the whole K&N set.
alot of us also ended up making our own heat shields, which was a neat project

This is the first mod I tackled. i have said it before, but until i found this forum, I really was afraid on unhooking my battery and could barely change my airfilter.
Following tripple black's recipe, and incorporating some of ugly monkey's input, i managed to do it. I personally love my CAI. I gains a small (but noticeable) bit of mpgs, and my truck gets all growly sounding at 2500+ rps. Given the option to do it again, I would in a heartbeat. probably the smartest $25 i have put into this pig.
click me to see my build it is in reverse order, and I finished up the looming after it stopped raining.

I got one on mine too. I don't notice that much of a difference except in the lower RPM's, but that may be in part to my air filter. I just left the cheap one that came with my CAI on there. I think they're worth it. You can spend as little as $30 on it, or if you go with a full on K&N or brand name one they're up in the 100-150$ range.

That's not worth it. You're paying for the K&N name...you could buy some pipe and fittings and make your own for less that half that price. it will do the same thing, you just won't get a fancy K&N sticker to put on your truck lol.
