Buy that goodness and flip it.
I would get it checked by a shop as part of deal though.

when ever someone says it just needs a battery or a started ect... there is usually something else wrong with it. Bring a good battery with you and try it. for the price though it would be worth it. depending on how mechanically inclined you are. Even if it needs a motor or trans or something else major. you could still flip it for more. I have started to do this myself.

Sounds like our 1998 S10 project truck for $1100.

$500 will buy a good engine and $500 will get it installed by a guy with a shop behind his house. The kicker is parts one may be tempted to buy because it is the 'right' time to do so many things when the engine is mounted on the engine stand.

Between our 1980 F-100 and 1998 S10 one is a lot easier to work on. Even with a well equipped shop NOTHING is easy about working on a S10/Blazer.

i never understand why people do that, id go to a junkyard or something and buy a used battery to put in it to sell it, would look a lot better with a ad where it doesnt need anything.

someone probably jumped it backwards and fried the whole charging system

Well that sucks , My friend bought a car once from a old lady (real nice lady) she said her son needed the starter so the car didn't have a starter . My friend only needed the engine it had a 460 , She said yea the car is fine except it needs the starter and I need it out of here . 500 bucks bought the car it was a fricken boat , we flat toed it all the way home ,and tried to turn the engine over with the crank bolt . It was seized solid , you can't trust anyone anymore .
