Just back from the dealer I made an offer of $17000 for a 2005 EXT LT 4WD with 70 kms, this truck is loaded, anything I should be looking for in the way of defects or easily broken parts?
My 99 4 door Blazer will be for sale soon its got 185 kms on the clock and is otherwise in good shape what should I ask for it?

$17k seems like quite a bit for what you are getting...
As far as defects or easily broken parts... The GMT360/370 platform trucks are pretty solid. You will want to make sure that the rear A/C unit works properly and that the 4wd works properly.
If you do get it, I would do a transmission and transfer case service. Use only Autotrak 2 fluid in the transfer case!

17k Can.= 12,750 US according to edmunds this is in the ballpark, googled auto trader came up with the same, dealer is going to put on a new set of tires, when I go back I will see about that trany service

Oh damn. I should have thought of that when I saw kms, but sometimes you never know! Well then that is not too bad of a deal.
As far as the trans service goes, they may throw that in there for you and they will likely put in the new Dexron 6 synthetic transmission fluid which will help your mileage and keep the transmission happy for a good long while!

Its a done deal! It comes with new tires and a 20 k or one year power train and elec. warrenty but I'll have to do the trans. on my nickle, the salesman said I was pulling the bread from his childrens mouths already (gotta love those sales people). This was a lease buy back, 4 years ago the list price was $51,420, its good to buy from the orignal dealer they let me see the service records. This unit should have lots of towing power for my travel trailer and the 4 X 4 with AWD should work out for our long winters.I will have that fluid you recommened installed thanks for the tip.
