I am 100% set on the 2-door version.

Keep Looking youll find some thing dont just jump you will pay way to much. Dont overlook something just cause high miles eather. I would rather have a 200,000mile well taken care of then a pounded 100,000mile Blazer.

I'm looking for a 98+, though I still want to know how interchangeable the years are. 2 door is a must, thanks for the reply though.

I did not see that you only wanted a two door. There are really very few differences. 97 the cvs went to a slip collar from a flange. Something changed in the tranny
(i think) in 98.

When i posted that l like three posts popped up at the same time i change it. Be patent i got my two door for 500 bucks.

I dont know how iron prices round you are but the junk yards round here give 350 to 400 for car bodys so evey car is worth more then three hundred. Its just economics.

Head on over to Cedar Rapids and check out Pat Mccgraths Chevyland. I'm sure you've heard all the adds on the radio. He's a little higher priced but if you can come up with a down payment they'll work something out with you and give you a warranty. I got my Blazer with 117k on it for $1200 down, $5300, but the thing looks almost new. Good Luck.

I think you should expand your search area a little bit. We got a 2dr full size Tahoe in Tennesse in much better condition than you would get here in Pa. It was an ebay purchase and it sucked oh so very much to make the 23hr round trip to pick it up but the truck is in great condition. If you're willing to look into some surrounding states you may find what you're looking for at a great price.

I haven't heard any ads on the radio, but I have seen their website (according to which they have 0 Blazers/Jimmys). $1200+$5300 or $5300 out the door?

Blazers, jimmy, and s10 are very hard to find in this area, 2 or 4 doors, whatever and low mileage even more so, i was forced to do a lot of looking here, when I totaled my 2002 in beginning of February. I picked up a 2004 Zr2 in Maquoketa, IA---but I just got for the really low miles on it.
