Default Differential Question - For Curiositys Sake

Hey guys, I've been learning a lot about vehicles lately, more specifically my Blazer (I'm 17, this Blazer is my first vehicle). My question is, what type of differential does my Blazer have? It's a '98 Blazer LT 4WD vin W.

You have to read the RPO codes. If you have G80, you have the factory gov-loc rear diff.

Do you want to know what your gearing is? see below
What size rear end you have? 10 bolt gm, it is the 59" length due to your 4wd action
Carrier size? 7.5 or 7.625 <-- more likely

Pop open your glove box and decode your RPOS like swartlkk said.
Look for these if you want to know gearing.

GU4 3.08 <- most common
GU6 3.42 <- most common
GT4 3.73 <- less common, found in zr2's and special orders
GT5 4.10 <- have not seen this, but it could be a special order
