Default Evap sensor

2002 blazer evap sensor, fuel economy is bad. Things lead to evap canister purge valve
The light came on right after doing the fuel pump with new wiring harness..
has anyone had this issue, with evap sensor?
Apparently there is 2 purge valves? One near or on the fuel tank and 1 in the engine bay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The purge Valve is in the engine Bay near the Ignition Coil. The Vent Valve is with the canister at the fuel tank.

Either of these 2 valves can be stuck open or stuck closed. If stuck closed, you'd have a heck of a time trying to put gas in it along with long crank times when trying to start it.

Sometimes the crud in the canister will break loose and clog up the vent valve..

With a good scan tool, you can activate either of the valves to see how they respond.

With a meter, you can at least check for voltages, voltage drop, shorts etc..

Grab a mirror and a flashlight and make sure no wires running to the pump and vent valve got pinched.

If you want to give something a quick try, give the vent valve and purge valve and thorough spray down and cleaning with something like Seafoam. You'd be surprised how much crud gets crammed in there..

But before delving into any of it, see what codes are present..

The Fuel Tank Pressure sensor is in the top of the fuel pump module. It's that "other" connector.
