I fixed all my surface rust where the paint chipped, i think i did a pretty good job for my first time painting, and using rattle cans. Tell me what you think, you cant really tell its been redone unless you get really cose to look at it .

body shop was going to charge me 800 bucks to do it, i said no way and did it my self, took me about 5 hours total to do all the spots, i had about 12 paint chip spots that were turning into rust so i had to fix them before they got worse. but cost me basicly 30 for paint, painters tape, and sandpaper, and a little bit of my time to make it look new.

i dont have any before pics but it was bad, tips would be make sure you get rid of all the rust first, then clean surface, then prime it good, sand the primer when painted, then clean well and do first coat of paint, and so on, then do clear coat after paint has dried and you should be good to go.

Looks sweet good job! How much of your blazer did you mask off? Mine will probably need some attention like this soon, as well as the door jams/engine bay.

Looks good, I have to do the same thing. I got one part that got chipped by a big rock (actually I sort of got stuck on that boulder and dented it some too). Trying to figure out if I am going to paint it, or truck bed line it and the lower door frames. I know I am going to get the underside coated by Ziebart to make the frame rails look good (after I touch them up a little bit and spray some rust converter on them).
