Default GM makes me curious

So just thought i would share this little adventure that I had with GM
on my 91 s10 blazer the oil filter is attached to a remote housing on the inside of the driver side fender. on my way to vegas from reno the housing cracked. so i get to vegas and go into gm to order a new one. come to find out well according to them the part that i have doesnt exist. apparently i have one of the few vehicles with no oil cooler so if you can imagine my oil lines only come in on one side and there are none leaving the other side. I couldnt find the right part ANYWHERE! so i ended up just taking the model with the oil cooler outlets, tapping the holes and plugging them. worked perfect. I just thought it was funny how confused the dealership was when i brought the original part in and had to share with all of you.

If you have a 2wd just get the part that screws into the block to take an oil filter off a fullsize. Ditch the leak prone relocater and but the filter back where it belongs.

i did that with a '87 astro van. id do it to my '97 blazer but cant because the front driveshaft is in the way, would work on a 2wd though.

I have a 4wheel drive
relocater was crack, so I removed it and put the filter from the 2.2 in. works perfect
