Default Goodbye from the UK

After 12 years of running Blazers in the UK I have sold what I think will be my last one. It was my third and I had it for 6 years.
Unfortunately the cost of importing spares has recently more than doubled post Covid and the recent fuel crisis has resulted in petrol being around £9 (approx $11) per gallon.
Also our climate is generally hostile to older cars so a few age related ****les were appearing making it difficult to justify keeping the truck as an everyday runner.
I have really enjoyed my time with Blazers and must thank everyone involved with the forum as it has made running a vehicle which here was rare from new a much easier proposition.
I will still browse the forum from time to time but as an enthusiast rather than an owner.
Best wishes from England.

I feel your pain. Everything in the United States has gotten pretty expensive, too. And our Blazers are not exactly economical, low-maintenance vehicles. The price of gasoline here (or petrol as it's called on your side of the pond) hasn't gotten THAT bad yet, but it's inevitable. Our "leaders" won't be happy until we're all driving golf carts or riding on electric buses.

Anyway, it's good to hear you'll still be around. Say hi once in a while, and enjoy whatever new endeavors you decide to pursue.
