blazer 2001 ! i can’t open the hatch from the inside with the switch….. rear wiper is working (i buy a switch but not received yet) if someone have an idea…. sorry for my writing i’m french!!!

That dash release button grounds an input to the BCM on the black wire. You can test by grounding that wire. The BCM then grounds the coil on the Liftglass relay in the UHFB which then sends power to the liftglass release motor. The rear switch to open the rear glass does not use the BCM or the relay.

Does the glass hatch open using the switch at the back on the tailgate? In other words does the release motor and switch, power, fuse and wiring work?


If you have a remote control that works does it have a hatch release button and does it work? If so then the BCM and the relay work.

Another test you can do if grounding the dash button does not work is swap relays in the UHFB.

i will go and check all this thank for the answer
sometimes it’s open with the remote but if i put the key inside just cycling the door and not opening …..

When you start grounding things to test you should use a fused wire in case to hit a power source.
