I have no issues with it, other than a bit of a rattle over rough road. I put a ratchet strap from the roof rack to the trailer hitch when I'm off road on a longer trip, and it solves it.

The latch plate on the tailgate is still held on with #14 machine screws...no issues there either.

I can see out of the wheel in between the spokes slightly, and the top corners a little. haha I don't use my inside rearview mirror anymore...

So I have a ZR2 Blazer and I took my carrier off and put the spare tire inside. So, if anyone else is looking to do this mod, and wants to drive just north of Boston to buy a carrier, let me know :-D

And if it can hold a 35 on the back without doing any damage, it can hold virtually anything you throw at it. I highly doubt many people will go bigger than 35s.
I'll be attempting a 37 on mine lol!!! I'll let everyone know how it holds up

I honestly do not miss the tire carrier on the Jimmy, Had one on the blazer, and that was the most annoying thing in the world. Any little tiny bump that dumb thing would make noises.

Looks good on 4 door second gents though, I must admit.

I bought my carrier from the junk yard for $20. Going rate seems to be free to $100. About 3 hours work.

Would have to be pretty lucky to find one at a junkyard, no?? I have been wanting to start going to a few though for all kinds of spare parts, that reminds me...

Cheaper than i expected as well, sweet!

Thanks
