mine does too. i've learned just to deal with it. you've already flushed it out so other then replacing it or running a system cleaner through it there is not much else you can do.

Ok was wondering what do you think causes it? Thanks for your input

contaminants in the coolant and/or in the heater core

You have air in the system, plain and simple. Get the air out and the gurgling will be gone.

I used to have that issue. I checked the radiator, and it was actually low from when the previous owner replaced it. I made sure the system was filled up, and it went away. At least that's how I fixed them.

check your hoses...mine had a very small split allowing air in when the pressure would change...to rid air out of system fix hose (if applies) remove rad cap on COLD start. run the engine add antifreeze/h2o while revving the idle till it looks "fuller". easy fix.

My 97 did that too so I replaced the heater core flushed the whole system refilled it ran it and got all the air out and did evrything your supposed to do to get rid of airlocks and after I was done and the system worked perfect it still gurgled under the dash. I learned to live with it until I sold it.

i was just dealing with this problem myself abt a month ago so thought id add my 2 cents...i had gurgling of water in my dash thought nothing of it week later my trucks over heating. i replaced water pump and thermostat truck stopped over heating but still had gurgling asked a buddy of mine he says its the heater core and to replace it so that weekend we did just that and replaced it.. so far no gurgling of water...
