High mileage blazer club???
First off, Hi! I'm Bob, I own 2 blazers. one is a 97 4x4 171k miles 2 door
the other is a 4 door with 400k miles, anywho... I was wondering who has the highest mileage blazer out there?
Today I bought a 96 blazer vortec 4.3 with just a tick over 400 thousand miles on it,original motor and tranny, oil changes every 3k miles, just 4 months ago replaced the radiator and water pump, thermostat, and hoses. This blazer runs like a champ and looks like its been garage kept most of its life. The leather is still in great condition, and the dash isnt cracked. I'd have to say its a pretty good find for $300 bucks. I cant decide if I wanna sell it or just send it to the crusher. Its such a pretty rig to just crush, but with that many miles I'm slightly worried.
whats your highest mileage?

I am sitting at 200k miles on a 93, og engine and tranny.
PS.. Changing the oil every 3k miles is a waste of money. Conventional oil does not start to break down until about 5k miles. If you got synthetic (which I use) it will not start to break down until about 8k miles... at least.
But, 400k, on OG engine and tranny, that is impressive. These engines are extremely durable when properly taken care of.
On a side note. I have seen second gens (95+) blazers at the yard with over 600k on the odo. Dont send the poor thing to the crusher.. Keep it or sell it, it still has quite a bit of life.
