Im thinking about Buying a scoop and slapping it on my spare hood in the garage, and painting it my self. i need a new project.

 

do it! but make sure you post pictures when you do. if you bought a spare scoop you could cut a hole in the hood and put a channel on the bottom of the hood to your filter from the scoop and have cold air lol

i always liked the hoods on the stock gmc version of the s10.
the small indentation looks nice.
i have seen some how to's where they simply cut the middle portion of the hood on the sides then tack welded some steel in the gap and glassed it....looks simple and it would give you the cowl hood look.

 

i think thats what I'm probably gonna do. how well does fiberglass stick to steel?

and when i do my hood i want the cowl to taper down more on the sides, and i want to put an indentation about 10 inches wide and maybe a half an inch deep in the middle of the hood. all my corners would have 1/4 inch rod welded in so i could make the corners smoother.

Some people think the largeness is to much, but this is the same one i had my shortwide way back, and i love the look. Now if only my truck was fast it might all make sense. lol

 

lol it won't look to bad. are u gonna fiberglass it on once u get it or just rivet it or something. and isn't one made just for the blazer only like 50 bucks more

And yes fiber glass and a full repainting of the entire hood.

 

ok i found a few they r more like 300 dollars instead of 200 so if u can make it look good id go with the one you found but here is a link to a place that has a few choices.
