How bad is the damage
#4
You are not giving us much to go on here but if you are asking if you should do your LIM gaskets and button the truck back up because you got coolant in the oil then:
Was there any bearing knock or other dramatic engine noises after the contaminated oil? Did the truck run substantially different after the coolant got into the oil? How does it idle?
Water in the oil can damage the engine but its not a given. When my LIM gaskets went I had about two quarts of coolant in my oil and it looked like melted chocolate ice cream. About that same time I blew a coolant hose and the truck overheated. That was about 75,000 miles ago and the truck still runs good at 210,000 miles. You have to determine if there is engine damage, we cant determine that from here. BTW I had pretty bad pitting on my mating surfaces so I used a liquid metal repair system and the better metal Fel Pro gasket set and we are still good to go.
