I do the same thing, but since my parking brake couldn't stop my truck from rolling even if a 2 year old child breathed on it, I just leave the thing to the floor. =] You have to love when random shhit no longer works and you don't care to have it fixed.

This has been discussed quite a bit in the past. What has been determined is that any truck destined for sale in Canada had this 'feature' disabled. Sooner or later, GM did away with it entirely. It only works on the 98-01 or perhaps to mid-02 if I remember correctly.

Makes sense since it's illegal in Canada not to have DRLs.

IIRC, the DRL idea came about because of vehicles sold in Canada. Thanks a heapload, Alex!

Doesn't work on mine either. Maybe it's disabled on the exports too.

don't think you have one on that blazer soco... but on my 2002 blazer its in the cluster with the headlight switch etc. & FYI ... the 4 second trick didn't work on my truck. oh well

Odd, Mine's an '03 and it works just as described. Its in my manual somewhere.
