How do I know if I have an s-10 blazer?
I have a 98 4x4 2door blazer with the swinging tire gate on the back. Is this an s-10 blaZer or just a regular blazer? I'm not sure and apparently there is different front end parts for each...
this is a trailblazer

They are exactly the same thing. Some people call them s-10 blazers, others just call them blazers. Chevrolet dropped the s-10 prefix for the blazer in 95 when they discontinued the full size k5.
Could you be confusing the zr2 model for a regular 4x4 2 door? In that case, yes, there would be different front end parts.
If someone is asking you if your 98 is an s-10 blazer or a regular blazer, you might want to get your parts from someone else lol

S10 is 2WD, T10 is 4WD. 1st gen was 1983 through 1994. 2nd gen was 1995 through 2005.
If the first 11 characters of the VIN are 1GNCT18W9WK, it's a 1998, 4WD, (T series) 2 door, Blazer built in Linden, New Jersey with a 4.3L V6 engine.
1999 through 2001, the S&T series Blazer had a "Trail Blazer" trim option. In 2002, the Trail Blazer, (GMT360) was introduced and produced through 2009 with a 4.2L inline 6 engine.
