Replace a fairly cheap boot now or replace the whole driveshaft later. Your call. There is a fair amount of work in replacing the boot, but... Which side is the boot torn on? Diff side or wheel side?

i was driving to the store to get the boot and half way there my truck started getting harder to drive, i think the joint is broken because it feels like im driving with the break on [8D]so i just got the driveshaft anyways and am going to change it tomorrow
will do, i had most of it off today but i couldnt get the shaft out, i have to take off the upper arm and the lower arm to give the shaft enough room to get out... i got most of it off but i was worried about how much load was on the arms so i put it all back and am gonna wait for my friend to come help me, he knows more than i lol
