Just out of curiousity, why not auto transmission flush over 50,000 miles?
|
190K with just a few issues, like a bad coil; and a corroded wire going to the trans which took two months to figure out... But other than lil thing, runs strong and still has plenty of power.

'97 LS 2wd 4door. 212,000.

How many miles does your original Vortec v6 have.
I am at 208k on my 94. The trans has been replaced but orignal engine. It does have a little bit of lifter tick. thats getting fixed soon along with custom painted valve covers.

2001 Jimmy SLS, 312,000 miles
Few fuel pumps and odds and ends. Not without issues, but still gets me from A to B reliably |
1998 Blazer ZR2 185,000 stock motor and trans I think new ride to me.

97 with 175K. I recently did the valve cover gaskets, but otherwise all original (excluding belt driven components, vacuum lines, etc). I wouldn't even think of replacing it until it's losing compression, then I would try a gasket set first, worst case I have to replace it.
Was just in the rear diff, it looks good for a while. T-case has a small leak at a seal, going to look at that next before it's a real problem. Front diff has seal leaks, and noise when engaged, probably needs a rebuild but I'm all on-road for now. It's all original. |
97 with 216xxx, original trans, eng, transfer case. intake manifold gasket replaced and regular tune up parts and it runs like a champ still, has terrible belt chatter though. trying to get that straightened out, but it runs smooth and idles smooth and when its time to go, it will get up and go just as strong as a new one off the dealers parking lot.

139,000 on mine. I have only had it for a few months so no major things done yet
|
132,000 miles (only water pumps, timing cover seal, idler pulley, belt tensioner)
