How much did you pay for your blazer?

$1500 for my 1998 4x4, had a ton of problems that I wanted a project for. (Little did I know it was worse than I had thought.) Had 126,000 miles when purchased in January. A new transmission, fuel pump, intake manifold gaskets, rear bumper and quarter panel (damaged by previous owner), new spare tire carrier, replaced busted tail lights, needs upper and lower ball joints, pitman and idler arm, I'm sure there is much more I can't think of off the top of my head. Overall I love this thing even though it's a PITA. One advantage though, not a spec of rust!

Paid $900 for my '86 Blazer 2.8 with 118,000 miles.
That was six months ago, and I've had alot of fun with it. It has been worth every penny, and now I love Blazers. I can't see myself ever not owning a Blazer now.
And having this forum makes it even better.

Won the bid at $860 for the '89 back in the summer of '10. 76K miles but I think that was professionally rewound just judging from the overall condition of everything. Also had to to pick it up with a trailer I had bought in another auction. Picked them both up on the same trip.
The Blazer burned oil, but had brand new battery, alternator, water pump, fuel tank, fuel pump, tires, rear brakes & rear brake lines, & fuel lines up to the drivers door. Not much rust considering it's age & location (NY). Got one winter out of the engine - about 8,000 miles - before the wife started getting sick of dumping 5 quarts of 20W-50 in a week in single digit temps. It's a winter beater, so that's one year. Good enough.
Just finished installing the Vortec out of our junk '00 Jimmy, which cost just under $1,100 to get rid of all the electronics/computers/sensors for both the engine & the original '89 chassis, and buy all the other parts (motor mounts, exhaust, HEI distributor, wires, plugs, etc). As seen here: https://blazerforum.com/forum/genera...-begins-63094/
Now she's got new dedicated snows (got half my money back selling new tires that came with it) , new calipers, pads, lines, & hoses, Moog ball joints all the way around, all tie rods, pitman, and idler arms are Moog too, plus alignment. New torsion bar mounts, Edelbrock shocks off the Jimmy, & a block heater round out the spendage. All & all, it's MUCH cheaper than buying new!

I paid $ 980.00 cash (didn't feel like giving an even $ 1,000.00!) plus a trade-in of an old '95 2wd Blazer for the 4x4 Blazer in my sig. I drove it home, but soon had to install a new radiator and hoses. Followed by an ignition tune-up, fresh oil, and new brakes all around. I figure I've got around $ 2,500.00 in it now.

My '83
cost me only $850. Untold number of miles on it as the speedometer and odometer don't really work. There is a laundry list of things to be done to it just to get it tip-top, but I drive it everyday, and it only needs a safety inspection. Great deal in my opinion.

i bought mine 1997 for $1000 with 82,000m but had to do some body work

i got mine, an 03 2wd for $4000. pretty good deal, only thing is the odometer is non actual, but if it runs great i dont care
im looking to get a zr2 to in the spring hoping to find one cheapish. and around here i see blazers go for over 6 or 7 grand if they are newer and have lower miles
