do you have the 4.3? Look in your glovebox. you'll have a sticker with a bunch of 3 digit codes. Look for either m30 or md8. m30 is 4l60e (which i doubt you have as it didnt happen until early 93. md8 is a 700r4. if you have a 700,then you must have a cable or else its not going to last long. the tv cable (actually called a detent cable) controls line presssure. its not made to be tweaked for shift points, and wot shifts. if your trans doesnt shift correctly once its set correctly (google setting cable 700r4) then you have other problems.

the tag says MD8 but the engine is different than than what was in it. It has the 4.3 vortec (W engine ) it use to have the throttle body engine ( Z engine ). But crawling under it i dont feel a spot for the TV / Dent cable.

OK,possibility they used a 4l60e trans, which is electric and doesnt need that cable. they came with the vin w. well, some did. to find out if its a 4l60e look on the passenger side of the transmission. look at the wiring plug in that runs to the trans. is it round or square? square is 700r4,round is 4l60e. if it is a 4l60e its gonna be a 93 or 94. 95 was usually the newer style. it did have some vin w though. are you having issues?

if fluid level is fine(check it idling, hot.) all i can say is add some lucas trans slip to it. make sure u drain some before adding. dont wanna over fill it.

Also,it can be your throttle position sensor. its on the driver side of the throttle body. it controls shifts points. its about 30 bucks. replace it and see what happens. Oh,to help with confusion on finding parts, just ask for anything 93-94 s10 blazer thats vin w. there all the same.
