Default i broke the blazer..

Its 1:05am. and i just got home from trying to fix it. my wheel bearing on my 91 4x4 failed. After beating the heck out of my ballpoints trying to separate them with the few tools i had with me,got em apart after 2 hours of beating and prying,i got the spindle to drop out. I got the new hub, installed it on the spindle. hooked everything all back up and to find out i bent the spindle where the top caliper pin slides in. So all i could do is try to bend it back so it;ll work. Nope that didnt happen. Guy pulled over and asked if i needed help. He let me borrow a propane torch so i could heat up the metal a little to bend it back in place..I learned it was the wrong kind of metal to heat and pry with a hammer. chunk of it popped off. So now i have to go to the pull it yard around 8am in the am and try to have it all done before work at 3pm...

/possible rant done.

So hows yalls day going?

Oh man that sucks the big one. Curious to hear what it was like when it failed? Did you hear it coming on? Sound like a tire going flat? How come removing the ball joints? Can we not just get a socket on the bolts from behind? I have never changed one on my blazer, plenty of fords though, and you just gotta take the rotor off, axle nut off, and remove the 3 bolts on the back of the spindle then beat the crap out of the berring to get it to move forward out of the spindle.

Well,i just heard a grinding noise a few days before. Then it felt like a flat tire. Im deleting my 4wd since it doesnt work, and im doing a v8 swap and i dont wanna pay 200.00 for a oil pan. Friend needed the cv axle so he purchased my hub,and i gave him my cv axle,he gave me his broken one so i could use the outer joint to keep my hub at peace. Thats why the spindle broke. Trying to do a favor and it backfired on me lol
