Don't forget that Warthogdriver is running on 33"s which will definitely affect the mileage. I'm getting around 18mpg (70/30 hwy/city) with a t-bar crank, body lift, and add-a-leaf (4" total) on 31" tires with 3.73 gears.
Warthogdriver, did you ever regear your truck? What gears to you have?

When you're looking at mileage, there's a ton of things that come into play. One of the biggest is your right foot. If you're going with slightly bigger than stock tires, that's going to reduce your city mileage, and *may* increase your highway mileage slightly. Going up to 31" tires with 3.42 gears will decrease your mileage, and if you go with even bigger tires without changing your gears you'll decrease your mileage even more.
When I first put on 31" tires with stock (3.42) gears I lost 1-2mpg in both city and highway, but I also live in a fairly hilly/mountain area, so there isn't a lot of flat highway cruising. When I swapped out my axle and diff for ones with 3.73 gears and 31" tires I get around the same mileage as I did with factory height tires because the final drive ratio is almost the exact same as it was from factory. I swapped out the axle and diff because I got a great deal, and it was easier for me than trying to change the gears alone.

My '94 came with '31s when I bought it, and would get 13-15MPG but it wasn't running 100%..maybe 85%. That was with 3.42 gears, and I did not correct the calculation for the different tire size. Just about everything that could leak in CPI unit was leaking, too. When I had it running 95% (still had a poppet with slight leak-down) and back on stock size tires I was back at 19-20MPG keeping at 65 on the highway
