Thumbs down Installed New Multifunction Switch, Now Nothing Works

I installed a new multifunction switch because the wiper switch was worn out. I made sure everything was exactly the way the old one was. Now I have several problems:

-No response when key is inserted/turned
-Headlight switch: dash lights come on but headlights do not
-New switch does not work whatsoever

Any ideas on what it could be? The battery was disconnected and reconnected after installation.

Would that cause the hazards to not work as well?

I would think so... Does the cluster light up when the key is turned?

Not when the key is turned, only when the headlight switch is turned.

I agree with gio, sounds like a lose ignition switch connection.
