RE: Intake Manifold Gasket?
It's more time consuming than anything else...
Though, you've got a metal intake manifold if I remember right :D |
RE: Intake Manifold Gasket?
ya on my first gen its just rip the upper plenum off then the bottom and ur good then put it all back together lol pretty simple i think it took me 2 days of workin on it about 3-4 hrs each night or something i dont really rem

RE: Intake Manifold Gasket?
Yeah, its not as bad as I thought. It took me and a buddy about 4-5hrs. When it first needed to be done I wanted nothing to do with it because theres so many things in the way, but once you do it it pretty easy, just time consuming.

RE: Intake Manifold Gasket?
I replace mine around 130k miles on a '98 4x4 truck. It may have been replaced before. I didn't do it myself since I was up at college and didnt have a good place to do it myself, or the time, or all the tools. It cost me like $260 to get replaced parts, labor, and tax included (I love local shops with cheaper labor costs). I just ordered a wheel bearing from synergy offroad and am getting it installed at a local shop for $50 labor, I am sure that is worth my money versus freezing my but off and spending double the time they would on it.
