Default Japanese Blazer - with beds & kitchen sink.

Maybe this is a Japanese thing but my son-in lawhas a Ford Explorer. He has a friend who recently also bought an Explorer. Wait. This is where it gets interesting!

When he took delivery he was given a load of vinyl covered panel & what looks like roof racks. Also a kitchen sink & table much like a camper/caravan would have. Not wanting it & withDarren about to go away to a music festival,Darren brought this lot home except for the sink & table which Brett kept.

This is where it gets interesting!

I had seen this system with a Blazer (but not set up) when I was looking for one in November. I looked at the panels & realised this will not fit the Explorer but my Blazer. Darren wasn't happy!

Some bits were missing but a visit to the Chevy specialist revealed they hadrecently taken delivery of a wrecked Blazer from Japan (for spares) which had these same panels. They gave me the bits for free as they saw no market for it.

On the back of the panels is a sticker / label printed in Japanese but I'm curious to know if this is also available in the USA.

Pics attached.

That's kinda cool... I've never seen one... But then again, I've never looked.

Sleeping bag in the back of the Blazer is enough for me

People who don't want to set up a tent, and the floor of a Blazer is too hard to sleep on, I guess...

That'll work great for those nights I come home a lil late and end up in the dog house w/ my woman!!Or should I say, "the blazer house"!lmao I guess my next question would be where would the kitchen sink go? And therewould have to be some sort of tank or water inlet connection, right?

From what I understand, the sink is built into a tank of sorts. Must have a pump I guess which runs off the cig. lighter.. Next time I see Dave I'll get a pic from his. (& the table) I can't figure out where it would fit in the Blazer unless it stays under the bunk behind the front seats & stands on the tailgate when in use.

I have taken it out as I can't see myself using it. Just figured I'd set it up & show.

If I need to go away, I have5 free days rental of a campervan from work each year which can be accumulated. So far I have 8 days available.

That is pretty cool, I just put a few comforters down in the back of mine and sleep just fine but that would be cool to use if your 5'0 tall LOL!!

I had a 87 Jimmy, and we used to go camping while riding 4-wheelers. I would put a air up mattress in the back worked just fine.

I must be easily amused to be the only one who thinks that that is badass. So was it available in the US or not?
