Just for giggles

I thought I'd start this thread just for your wish list. If you had a wish list of stock parts you'd like for your Blazer what would they be? I'm referring to optional/scarce parts that are out there but you don't come across them very often. Example, graphite colored ash tray deletes, certified speedometers or perhaps a 2 door with a optional cargo cover? Parts can be from any vehicle that the parts fit the "S" series.

Let's here what you look for.

Cimmerian 05-02-2019 08:52 AM

The rear tire carrier and a full skid set.

Tom A 05-02-2019 08:56 AM

Steering column cover for manual/floor shift with tilt wheel that fits my 2000.

cleburne red 05-02-2019 09:45 AM

Bravada front passenger axle shaft/tube

Complete 5 speed manual donor truck

Flux capacitor or a Mr. Fusion? ;)

Seriously, this is good.

I'd love a set of ZR-2 fender flares as long as they are not too expensive.

blazen_red_4x4 05-02-2019 10:44 AM

A color matched GMC hood
Aluminum skid plate set
Another graphite colored speedometer and radio bezel since mine busted the last time I pulled it off...

LOL it's not hooked to anything currently. Just had an extra switch position there, and figured it would be funny

eshaw 05-02-2019 05:06 PM

How about cast iron front differential? I like the Envoy center console also with the pop out drink holder. The early second generation floor cable shifted transfer case is another item I like, no more vacuum leaks! I also like the extendable double visors like the ZR2 uses, and they've got lights also.

G0LFADD1CT 05-02-2019 09:06 PM

Dash pad
Upper map lights and switches
Right rear door
Front door interior panels
hood
rims

Those are not exclusive to the ZR2. My 04 non ZR2 came with them. Finding ones that the lighted mirror cover isn't broken on however, that can be a difficult task...

DonL 05-02-2019 09:29 PM

2000 trailblazer interior
Zr2 rear axle
Bravada front axle setup
On star cover for rear panel
Zq8 rims
Double din dash piece

DonL 05-02-2019 09:30 PM

And my 99 came with the extended visors. Might just be an interior upgrade option

cleburne red 05-02-2019 09:36 PM

My 95 has the visor extensions, the lighted vanity mirror, and a set of smaller bonus visors behind the main ones

DonL 05-02-2019 10:11 PM

I forgot to mention those little things!!

eshaw 05-03-2019 10:03 AM

Didn't they also make a monochromatic rear view mirror for the "S" series that automatically dims it when you have bright head lights behind you? I think that option was also part of the outside mirrors doing it also. And, if memory serves me the outside mirrors on Envoys had power folding mirrors on them. Some people like the third brake light (neon) on the rear window of the Envoys also.

eshaw 05-03-2019 10:06 AM

The biggest problem I've seen with the visors with the extendable piece is the material on them comes loose over time. The vanity light/mirror covers can be fixed or replaced.

N. Jensen 05-03-2019 05:36 PM

Jimmy Diamond Edition seats!!!

I found one being parted out in Sioux Falls, South Dakota...about a 3.5 hour drive strait north (pre Missouri River flood).
Saw the ad late at night, past 10, so I waited til the next day to contact. Already sold the front seats.... :icon_doh:

I would also like some Jimmy Envoy rear bumper side moldings in black.

I would love to get away from the glued cloth and get something all vinyl/plastic...no drooping!

Yes, I unplugged mine. Really didnt see a difference for me.

Not sure about the mirrors... just know they are heated.

eshaw 05-04-2019 08:22 AM

Speaking of the Diamond Edition, I have one locally being parted. The front driver seat is trashed though. The door panels are already gone too. It has the optional HID lights but the ballast ignitors are broken. The neon brake light is still there though.

N. Jensen, this Envoy is black. How big of a pain is it to pull those pieces you need?

N. Jensen 05-04-2019 08:48 AM

It's a pretty big PITA. There are like 7 or 8 bolts/screws holding each one in, and of course 20 years later, they are going to be rusty.

I saw a Diamond Edition for sale, just north west of Iowa City. Waiting for the right one, for the right price. Lol

I have one of those auto dimming rear views, btw... Works great!

eshaw 11-13-2019 08:53 PM

Came up with a couple more. Second generation long 5 speed consoles and front lockers for the IFS differential.

Cimmerian 11-13-2019 08:58 PM

eshaw, any chance on finding charcoal colored driver and passenger side door panels in good condition?

blazen_red_4x4 11-13-2019 09:54 PM

Now that I have my Diamond Edition interior, I just wish the seats were heated...

I have the driver and passenger side door panels from this trailblazer....two tone gray and dark gray leather, trailblazer stitching.

eshaw 11-14-2019 08:00 AM

They're out there. They'd be easier to find than the seats. Mr. Jensen would probably have better luck than me locating them, there's a bigger selection in his neck of the woods. I'll keep my eyes peeled though. I assume you want 4 door and electric?

Cimmerian 11-14-2019 08:31 AM

Two door and electric, though I PMed Jensen about those door panels.

error_401 11-14-2019 01:35 PM

Hmm - non squeaking lock for the rear window would be nice.

jimspahr@msn.com 11-15-2019 10:09 AM

I think about this every time I get into my Blazer. I would like to have a console top/ lid? / that closes and the latch clicks into place. This is for my 2003 Blazer LS 2 door. Dream big !

What color and style are you looking for? I have a couple extra graphite..

DonL 11-15-2019 05:05 PM

Reading more then one post at a time... deleted... sorry...

bravo99 11-18-2019 10:51 AM

I've seen some newer Blazer LS with a step board on each side. in fact Christine has them on her white one, I would love it if they would bolt up underneath my Bravada. Also apparently Lund has a rear spoiler for the glass and I want a front clearance lamp visor.
Santa, are you reading?

I have a couple of Westin step bars on my 2000 LS, and they did just bolt right in.

cage47 11-28-2019 07:52 AM

I had a 98 blazer with nerf bars. Wouldn't mind having another set on my 2000. I also had a 95 Jimmy that had the keyswitch in the rear hatch that would unlock all the doors. I like the 2000's full rear hatch but miss that key switch.

N. Jensen 11-29-2019 02:47 PM

Eshaw, can't remember if it was on here or s10forum, but weren't you looking for a 5 speed console?
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...4790a8302b.jpg

eshaw 11-30-2019 08:47 AM

Yep, I'm still on the hunt. That looks like the earlier pre-1998 style that was used in the early 2nd gens. About 1997? What I'm wanting to do is make a hybrid console. I need a late second generation 5 speed console for the shifter location to be correct and a early 2nd generation model that has the manual 4x4 transfer case shifter on the floor. What year is that one in?

N. Jensen 11-30-2019 10:43 AM

I want to say it was a 98, but could have been a 99 or 2000.
