I parked my truck this morning after going to the grocery store and i went to take my key out and it got stuck, i started it again and moved the wheel a couple times and then after getting frustrated, i punched the steering wheel and i heard a click and the key came out.. what can be causing my key to get stuck in the ingnition?

Do you have the column shifter??? If you do, then if the shifter is getting jambed by any chance it will prevent the key from coming out. This happens when the shifter isn't all the way up in park, even though it will show in park it might be jambing up to were its not all the way up.

I have this exact same problem. I think it has something to do with voltage. I have a seperate voltmeter dedicated to interior voltage and when its below like 13.6 It usually gets jammed.

my fiance's colbalt went through the same thing but it got worse, we had to just start leaving the key in, ended up having to put a new ignitoin in it. my mom's camery is also doing it, my step dad bypassed the brake to shift deal and it works fine but you can knock into gear at anytime sowe have to be sure to pull e-brake anytime we get out because she has a lil dog w/ her at all times. we are trying to get the part but been on back order for 6 months.
