Default Lets Play the Guess The Knock Game.

Hey guys today I was getting the plow truck ready... I threw in a used battery and ran her for 30 mins.... ANY ways she stalled after 30 mins.

I found the temp gauge topped off... The thermostat got stuck
I had a spare sitting around and threw it in. GO to start it shes knocking.
Sounds like a bearing or a rod knock.

Any ways I give up and just going to run it till she blows.... The truck has 270k hard miles on it.
I might throw some Diesel oil in but i doubt its going to help.

sounds like it ran hot for too long, oil got too hot,and turned into water, and the bearings started cooking.

yea she was idleing for 30 mins... till it stalled cause if the heat.. Live and learn I guess. After checking it again I crawled under and it looks like the rear seal blew .

I got a decent drip coming from it. SO it sounds like the crank or a rod at the end of the block. Motors gone I cant save it any more.

That would be your idea ... I rather get a few more times of snow plowing out of it. I might pick up some sand so i can clean the oil when she blows.

WHO knows she might last If I do my driveway slow and steady. Looks like imma be saving up to head to the pick and pull one weekend... I wanna at least go there with a decent amount of cash to take a bunch of stuff home.
