I've seen a blazer with a rear roll pan his was bolted underneath it to the bumper, that might be an idea? lol, i lost my spare tire on i95 going to georgia once.. mines a 4 door so it hangs underneath and the holder snapped.. i wonder how much havoc that caused some people lol

Honestly...if someone is going to go to the effort of stealing your plate by cutting wire ties, whats to stop them from walking up now and stealing your plate by unscrewing 2 screws? Screws are no more secure then wire ties...and somehow I don't think license plate theft is a huge crime problem...lol

I've seen it too, you could pick up a front bumper from a same year s10 or sonoma it should fit. If not, i'd get a few pieces of metal and fab you a holder. It's what we did to mount the air horn in mine, fab to fit and drill holes in the metal bracket to mount it in the wheel well. do the same but with the bumper, it'll only be as secure as you make it

*edit* And you can add it to your list of mods if you go custom 'Custom License plate holder" lol

i think it would be pretty cool. i was watching Transformers, and when John Tutturo (sp?) pulls up to the house in the GMC, they have the license plate bolted up to the bottom of the bumper

I took CBR995's suggestion and used some ties to mount it to the grill for now.

It doesn't even have numbers on it! :P
Honestly, I've seen other members just drill a couple holes in the front bumper, and run some bolts through to mount the plate right to it. It won't look as pretty as having an actual mount, and the plate will get bent much easier, but at least it's there.
