Adjusting the Parking Brake
Parking Brake:
My personal challenge was trying to figure out how to adjust it so that it will hold the truck and my boat trailer on a boat ramp.
I have described the design as some engineer having "out-clevered him/herself" by designing something that seemed clever but in reality combined too many systems into one.
Using the inside of the rear rotors as the drum for the parking brake, excuse me "park brake" according to the official GM repair manual, is NOT clever at all in my opinion.
In my quest to get it set correctly:
Well, maybe someone will find this post useful! :-)

99 4x4 ALL THE PROBLEMS :p
Maybe I missed em in my scrolling, but I have two here.
The first there is actually a TSB about.
Whenever it gets below 10-15 degrees (Fahrenheit) the fluid in the transfer case becomes too viscous and it starts to slip into 4wd while actually in 2wd.
The second is the door lock acuators. The damn plastic top where it bolts to the actual actuator always breaks on one side or the other so when ever you hit the lock one way, it rocks up instead of actuating. Leaving you with a lock or unlock, but not the other.
Ohh and a third!!
i saw a number about the crappy front window angles. But what I have also seen is the actual weather stripping/gutter wears out. So my switches get rained on even with the doors closed and the windows up!
cheers.
And don't get er' stuck!

More Blazer Quirks
In the 6 years I've owned my '04 Blazer LS 4x4 ive replaced the ignition 3 times, door pins and bushings more times than I care to remember, and burnt through 3 alternators because I like my bass just a bit too much (2 alpine type R''s off a 1000w Alpine amp) . Also my mom borrowed it last week, got stuck in the driveway, I put in 4hi to get her out and she was still in 4hi when she brought it back 4 days later. Front diff is howling like it's trying to summon satan. I'm sure I could go on all day but well leave it at that.
