Default Looking for a 1977 Blazer

I am looking for a '77 Blazer - yellow, ran great, body needed work - it has a partially removable roof and was sold by my boyfriend Brian in NY State near Lake George/Glens Falls area approx. 8 years ago. He has always regretted selling this truck as it has sentimental value since he and his dad restored it together. He is a chef and worked at the Sagamore Inn at that time (red hair!).I am wondering if anyone can give me any, any, any info. at all as to the whereabouts or owner of this specific Blazer - I would love to be able to buy it back for him for Christmas and thought I should start hunting now. Thank You!

There are thousands of Blazers out there that fit that description. Have you checked in local junkyards? Do you have the VIN #?

With the VIN you may be able to track down the current owner if it's still in NY... Other than that, you've got a needle in a very large hay stack.

yeah get the vin, find it in old insurance records probably. Or if you have pictures including the license plate then at the registration office you may be able to find it that way. That's what me and my dad did trying to find the '72 Nova he had in high school, but it's actually completely off the charts, out of everyone's records. the registration office for Texas has every car ever registered in Texas stored, back to like 1920, except my dad's Nova. Hopefully you'll have better results, good luck!

Ok and also you can check the old tune up shops you went to who may have the vin or license plate, other shops you went to, maybe transmission shops, the original dealership, etc. What year was it sold? My dad's Nova he sold in 1982 so it turns out it's too late to find it now, depressingly sad.
