Default looking at a blazer, ?s

Hey all, A guy that I work with is selling his spare vehicle which is a 1995 Chevy blazer. I am thinking about buying it, but I need to know what all to check out on it. All that I know about it now is that it is a 95' with ~250,000 miles, and he has just had ~2500 $$ worth of front end work done (ball joints, tie rods, etc) as well as work on the 4wd system (from what i've read into so far, it looks to be that all the common problems with the blazers has been fixed on it). He is asking $1000 for it. Does this sound like a decent deal?

Well, based off the fact that he just spent 2500 in repairs, sounds like you can rule out having a lot of problems for a while. I'd say go for it!

I was thinking that too, is there any other known problems that I should look for?

The heat and Ac sometimes (most of the time... lol) doesnt act right, it will normally still work but not the best. But for 1 grand it sounds like a good deal!

If he just spent $2500 on it, why is he selling it for only $1k?

Repairs don't add to the value of a car...

true, but you would think the seller would like to get his money back.

I see what you are saying. The only thing that makes sense is that he did the repairs with the thought that he planned on keeping it, then changed his mind.
