Lost key

So long story short I lost the only key for my 2000 blazer brought the vin to the dealer got a new key made but it didn't work need to know a way to fix it or even just start it without key

Does the key work to unlock the door? Just trying to figure out if ignition lock cylinder has been swapped out...

Hmmm, well, I would venture to guess the dealership didn't cut it properly. I would check with a locksmith. As for your immediate need of starting and moving the vehicle, I can't offer much help...

I'll try give them a call Monday but can't go to locksmith closest one is 3 hours away

Dealer quoted at least $300 to fix it since key didn't work plus I have to tow it a half hour so hoping there's another solution

Maybe a junkyard or someone who's parting one out could sell you the keys and all of the locks.
If someone here does know how to bypass the anti-theft and hot wire a truck, please send it to kfro in a private message. That way we're not posting on an open forum how to steal our beloved blazers.

Yes if someone knows how to I'd love to know Blazers been sitting in my friends yard for 3 days now
