Default Manual T-case Shifter After 3" Body Lift

I have a '94 Jimmy that I fitted with the NP231 T-case, using the stock blazer shifting mechanism. After doing a 3" body lift, the transfer case shifter sits very low in the console. While functional, it looks bad. Is there anything out there to extend the shifter up a bit?

What I done was cut it right above the threaded section, welded in 1/2 rigided pipe (electrican had it) and to extend the rod for the button I used a welding rod cut to length. I added 3 inches to mine and its about 1/2 to 1 inch taller than stock. I also had to bend it back a few degrees. I cut cut the pipe I welded, bent it back, welded it under where the rubber boot sits.
