Make sure the head and block in that spot are still flat. It's possible for the stuff going through that hole to erode them away a little bit, but it would probably have to be driven much farther than you drove it. As far as advice, pretty much the standard stuff. Clean the threads in the bolt holes, install the gasket dry, torque in several steps in the proper sequence. I don't know off the top of my head if the head bolts are TTY. Might be best to buy new ones, just to be safe.
