Default My first Blazer Questions

Hello all,

A couple weeks back I bought my first Blazer. I got a 2000 LS 4dr with 50k miles on it. I was skeptical about the age but it runs well.

So far I love this vehicle, It has new rods and hoses and I really want to put some money into it overtime. I want to put new rims a new system and new rear bumper.

My question is, since I am someone who is new to a blazer is it worth putting the money into it? I just hope I am not getting into a money pit with the vehicle because I really love it.

Thank you!

its even worse if you have to pay somebody to do your work

Lol yea I know I am not getting anything back I just hope it lasts a few years. I own the car outright no car payment. The bumper has a dent so I want to replace it.

Its worth it if you think it is. Some people would say no, others yes.
I am on the fence with second gens, if it was a first gen I would say 100% yes LOL (I love first gens)

Is there "common issues" I should look out for? I agree with newguy I am just hoping its cheaper than a loan payment every month.

When I say money. I am just talking about a couple things like new bumper and a new head unit for now. I am not a big car guy but I want to learn so I may do some things myself.
