ya thanx, ive never seen one and my parents said they havent seen one since the 70s. i wasnt even born yet....lol. i think its gonna be fun. its a project for the wife and i. shes pretty stoked.

its a great craigslist find. runs and drives now, currently driving it. just needs lil tinkering.

 

That is cool. I love old VWs because they're so simple yet so radically different from other cars of the time period.

 

i definately have to get back into the vw thing. havent had one for a while, and i need to do lots of tinkering on it to get it to run good. it runs fine, but sumtimes itl sputter and backfire. adjusted timing, i just think the carb needs cleaned. sat for over a year. but man its super cool and a blast to drive.

 

its a real head turner too

 

for sure, i cant count how many ppl took pics of it driving around or stopped at my house to take pics. ive been asked a lot if its a bug body on a luv frame, theyre surprised to know its actually all bug....just a kit. it definately is one of a kind. i like driving the odd vehicles.....dont like to be like everyone else.
