Need to replace me trans case control module
Where exactly is the tccm located. I took of access panel under the glove box and there was a wiring harness but no tccm. Is it under the passanger side panel. If so, how do I remove that?

... you area 99 Blazer (judging by name only)
so if that is the case your tccm lives behing the pasenger side kick panel (angled panel beside your right foot if your sitting in the P seat)
to remove it, work your fingers behind it and pull back (toward drivers side, not to rear of vehicle) it is held by pressure clips so it will *pop* free.
behind there is your target: a little silver box about the size of a VHS tape with wiring harnesses poking out of the top.
2 (torx head?) screws hold it to the A pillar. remove the harness, pull the screws, you're in business.
NOW: you will ONLY be able to change it with a similar TCCM NOT a similar year/2 gen design!!! If youo have a 3 button 4wd control on your dash, you will be good using another 2 gen 3 button TCCM, if you're a 4 button (auto-trac) 4wd, you can only use the TCCM out of a 4 button.
hope that helps...
also when i tried to drive sans TCCM my vehicle would not start... so i think you are in the wrong spot

Thanks
Thanks for your help. The panel was stuck and I was afraid I would break it. I used a pry bar in behind it and it came loose. There behind the panel was my elusive tccm.
Now if I can just find one to replace it. Thanks again.
