It's some place called Hendrick Motorsports. Heard they do some engine builds once in awhile and add a couple horses..... Sorry 91K5...just couldn't resist

Seriously though....I am working on a reman I purchased with a 3 year warranty. Their called Gearhead and they supply the long-blocks for the box stores. Engines are under different names, but the same company puts them out. Can't recommend or not yet because I am still putting the engine together. But you'll probably be looking around 2K I would think.

Yeah that would be nice if I could have Hendrick's supply me with one Rock. Or better yet afford what they would build for me.

I have checked around a bit and it seems that staying with a GM is a pretty safe bet, I am trying to weigh all my options so I don't have any regrets or wish I would have's down the road.
A buddy of mine sells Marshall Engines, has anyone dealt with these guys? I see a lot of bad reviews online about them. Can't find any type of build sheet on their engines to know what kind of quality is going into their's.

When I replaced my engine in my S15 Jimmy I went with a GM Remanufactored long block and installed it myself. It has over 60K and runs great. If you have a warranty issue any GM Dealer can provide warranty service. With mail order you have to send the engine back to them. Another option is if you have a reputable rebuild shop in your area that stands behind their engines that will do the removal and installation.
