Default new gen. of LV3

I c the launch of 2014 chevy silverado truck and sibling GMC Sierra, both offered with new engine options, among which, GM offers a brand new Ecotec 3 LV3 engine, featured with VVT, gas direct injection, active cylinder management techs; i c the pics and it looks similar to the old Vortec L35, LG3 and LU3, fitted in last gen. of both truck platforms, as well as our old blazer, and i now think of the possibility to cram a new LV3 4.3 V6 into my old Blazer? any comment?

Gonna be all the same troubles to drop a LSx in one. Between a v6 and v8 I know which one I would take.

I had read in Petersens 4 wheel magazine that the new Ecotech 4.3l V6 (LV3) would bolt up to older transmissions. Has anyone else heard this?

All I know is that the 2014 sierra is one sweet looking truck, I think a trade in may be in my future...
