Talking New Here

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum and almost new to the blazer family. I am currently (and have been for almost 6 months now) hunting for a chevy blazer ZR2, wondering if anyone else has some tips or advice on finding one, been searching autotrader, cargurus, fb marketplace etc and have little to no luck, every time I see one get posted its sold. will take any and all advice!

Also if there is anyone on here trying to sell their zr2 please lmk! I am willing to travel for it!

Junior

They are getting harder to find. A few around here in Canada, but not worth the travel.

Only advice I can give. Jump on it ASAP. There's a few that we're good prices and sold before I could justify it. Got money put aside for the right one now lol. Looking to get a hold of a guy selling his s10, to trade the blazer for. He needs more seats. Just haven't messaged yet...

Check for rust once you get to it, or see if the owner can get pictures of the underbody. problem spots are rockers, body corners and core support mounts, battery tray and that general corner of the engine bay aswell as along the firewall near the fuel rail.

Agree with above.

Maybe even post a couple of what your looking at and price, maybe get a couple of honest answers before hitting the road.

I almost did a 6 hr trip one way for a s10 zr2, but sold before I had the cash....

Look for a good, clean, rust free two door LS and then up grade with salvage parts from a ZR2. Yes, you would have a 'clone' BUT you would be enjoying it. Then when the used vehicle market returns to a more normal mind set, you could look for a reasonable priced ZR2 in a good condition that you could afford. By then, you would know the mechanics of the SUV much better and know what to look for.
