Went fishing last night and left at 2am Caught NOTHING. I started the blaze and had a knock at start up then it would go away. Now it does it everytime it starts..I need to look more into it but for now brainstorming begins.



So...v8 swap

Whew no actually! it was not a rod knock afterall. A wrench fell down in a corner and only knocked into something while the motor was turning over. Best feeling ive had for a while when i noticed it lol.

 

i bet that felt good lol. but wow 368k on that engine?! that's a Chevy for ya.

 

Well ive owned 3. 2 91's(one 2wd one 4wd) and a 89. The trans in the 89 blew and i scrapped it when i was 16. I dont remember the meilage on that one. but the 2 91's are amazing. My old one had 613k on it burned 3 quarts on oil a week and sold it for 400.00. Worse thing ive ever done. i miss it.

 

wow ive never heard of getting 613k out of a 4.3. i guess that's what happens if you take good care of them. i only hope i can get that out of mine, i like my truck to much to get rid of it lol.
