obd2 scanner blue-tooth...anyone tried them??
ok, so i finally got an up to date cel phone.
well sorta...droid x2.
anyways...i was looking at apps and came across one called "torque"
that enables you to have real time vehicle info and read/delete cel codes.
only catch is that you have to buy an obd2 blue-tooth component.
which ist to bad, i checked ebay...looking like 20-40 depending on what you do.
so, what i want to know is....anyone tried this?
comments...reviews???
i figure with the app costing 5.00 and the scanner at that price...looking like a good idea.
anyone?

Interesting, I would like to hear more on it too

I have/use it and love it.
Dont use it much for scanning on the blazer, but for my car it is awesome. I can scan in real time using my phone to check different tunes and see what is working/not working.
So much simpler than dragging my whole laptop around
Not much lag to it at all for me (although I have heard of others having lag)
Scans every vehicle I have tried it on (not all functions available on each vehicle though) and the dev is super helpful if emailed
Also lets you upload scans online in the pro version to look at later, and has lots of subset things to monitor in the settings menu of the pro version

OK big question now is where did you get your scanner and what app do you use?

.
Yeah, it works...
It's pretty good besides some people having constant connection problems. But on the other hand, some people have minimal to no problems. I guess it's like a car. You can get a goodie or a dud.
I have a droid 2 the app torque is in the market place for a couple bucks so why not? Check out this from amazon or ebay.

Be sure to buy an ELM327 chipped dongle. Works great for me with torque on the Android phone
