Overhead console swap Bravada to Blazer?

RE: Overhead console swap Bravada to Blazer?
Some guy saw me doing body work on my Nova in front of my house today, and ended up paying me $30 to buff a yellow streak off of his bumper because he scraped something. May as well be Blazer money...
Will post the pics of internals!

I have that same one on my 98 2door. Has the mpg, compass, etc. I can get pics of the other side if you guys need them. My whole interior is apart heh.

It didnt work! The connector on the OHC I bought has three more pins than my stock one. There are no unused connectors up above my headliner anywhere either. Lame.
Anyone know where to go from here in this conversion?

I think the only one missing should be the VSS wire. Lemme check.
Edit: I think you need to tap to a VSS wire, as well as the Class 2 serial port. check out these

The first few pages are just info on how to install a console in a non-console equipped vehicle. Post 4 has the info on wiring into the VSS and further down has the serial connection. I think the only 3rd wire you need is just fused power that you can tap up in the roof.
I know the plugs don't work...but i've seen a few posts about being able to simply cut and hardwire all the connections. Do any of the colors match up? Or are you still missing the extra 3 wires (meaning you have to run new ones?)

Oh man...I'm just still not sure what I need to do to make this work. WolfPack's link helps but I remain confused, which is probably my own fault...

Did you read through the whole thread? It explains which wires you have to tap to get it to work. You just have to get a whole lot of primary wire and run down to the dash.
The trip computer OHC has 2 plugs right? And the temp display only has one? Does the temp plug go into either of the trip OHC plugs?
And wheres drperry...he installed an OHC with trip already..

I also attempted this with no luck. I hope someone figure it out soon, because I suck with wiring and I would really like to have the trip.

Yeah I read through it, but Im still working on fully understanding what I need to do. Yeah the Trip computer OHC has two plugs, and I think one of them is for the two lights. The one I got also has two plugs, but the one for the computer has nine pins instead of my stock six. So, I guess Ill need a nine-pin connector to fit that, and then run the three extra wires from it to the dash, right? Not sure where Im going to find the nine-pin connector.
The only plugs that match are the small ones for the lights.

You could just cut the wires and hard wire it...no need for a special plug.
