Default paint my bowtie black

quick question guys, i want to paint my bowtie emblem black, does it come out so i dont overspray the rest of the truck? also how do i get it out with out breaking anything... thanks

on your 2001 correct? yes it comes out, and easily.

if yes, then it has been discussed like 5 times in the last two weeks. you will find that a lot of your questions have been. use the search function, it is your friend.

yank the grille off. it's on pressure clips. double check it doesnt have screw (old school style), but you just yank. then take the 2 nuts off the back of the emblem bolts and it drops out.

or just get some newspaper and masking tape and mask it off a bit

x2 on what Curtis said. I did mine not too long ago, you can look at my build thread (click my sig picture) for info and pics if you need.
The 2000+ were held on with 2 silly little plastic like bolts on the backside.

came out great ! everything went exactly how you guys explained popped the clips and undid the 2 cheesy nuts lol. thanks again much appreciated !
