Default Painted Headlights

Wasn't sure where I wanted to put this thread, so I opted for the safe general route. Please move if needed

One thing that has bothered me about my aftermarket head lights is how much of the clear part of the light with a silver body underneath sticks out from the front of the truck. The chrome part of the stock light housing made it look fine, but this clear made it look like it wasn't installed all the way. So I did some painting to fix it. A couple of coats of Bulldog Adhesion promoter and three coats of Krylon Fusion satin black and a lite top coat of Clear.

The stock aftermarket lights

Full front

The housing taped up in the "Paint Booth"

All painted up and installed.

That looks nice. It's amazing how just a little bit of work makes such a big difference.

Great looking job on the lights, it is amazing some little detail like that can make the truck look a lot better. Of course there are lots of people who would never notice something like that, but thats what makes a vehicle yours, when you add little detail touches like that. Good job

Yeah Lenny I was thinking the same thing, but theres still plenty of people like us who give a damn what a car/truck looks like
